Derek Kamper
Derek G. Kamper received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering from Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in biomedical engineering from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH. He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University and Associate Director of the Closed-Loop Engineering for Advanced Rehabilitation research core. His research interests include mechatronics and upper extremity neuromechanics, with the goal of facilitating neurorehabilitation.
